Telepathy Prep
Let's go over how telepathy happens, what it feels like and the common misconceptions about this natural talent. This will prepare you with all the information you need to do it and not get completely confused or overwhelmed your first time out. Telepathy is sending and receiving thoughts with your mind. We do this all day usually quiet down enough to hear it. When you sit down to play a telepathy that usually masks it. That's how you pick up your information. It's always there, you're just listening to it better.
The first time you try sending and receiving, you'll probably have to concentrate a bit to pick up random details of the thoughts your friend is sending. Seeing a whole image in your mind's eye is nearly impossible for newbies, so don't shoot for that when you begin. Just focus on your friends thoughts and describe the images and symbols as they come up.
Believe it or not, you don't have to be a good clairvoyance type to do this successfully, you'll learn that there are many ways to send and receive thoughts and images. Whether you are a feeling, seeing, or hearing person; whether you receive in the center of your head, behind your ears or no where specific, your efforts will pay off as soon as you figure out how you work best. Basically, no matter how you focus, you'll get the picture. In reality, when you first play, you may feel like you're just guessing--that is until you really know what it feels like. Take as many guesses as you can, because the proof will come afterwards when you look at your accuracy. Like the rest of the games, it gets much easier with time and practice. After you raise your telepathy comfort zone, it will feel like a natural knowing, an instant understanding of what is on your friend's mind.
Telepathy Tennis, Anyone? You and your friend are going to swap pictures by sending and receiving them in your mind. Playing this game over and over will open up your telepathic abilities, then you'll be able to receive instant messages from your friends during the day without having to be playing a psychic game. The next time something huge happens to one of them, you'll pick up on it and be the first to know.
Once you get this game down pat, you'll find that it is easier to communicate with a pet or a relative who is a long distance away. One glance from fido and you'll understand his needs. You'll just know when Aunt Mae is going to call and what she is going to say. You'll also be able to read people who you've just met or who you want to get to know better.
Game Pieces To play this game you need: Two 9 x 12 manila envelopes (or larger). 8-10 magazines with lots of photos in them. A parent, sibling, or friend to help you prepare. Before you begin, give one of your parents or other friends eight to ten magazines, the one's with unusual ads work best. Have them tear out the pictures and ads they find interesting; everything from cars to makeup to jewelry to cereal. They should have at least 20 pictures and make sure there are no duplicates. Mix up the ads and separate them into two piles, put each pile in a big manila envelope.
Neither of you should know what images are in the envelopes before you begin sending and receiving.
Rules of the Game Before you begin, review the rules so you both know what's going to happen and how to play.
Sit face to face, across from each other at a table or about five feet apart on the floor. If you want a more scientific way of doing this, sit in separate rooms or back to back with a screen in between you.
Play the Game: Sending and Receiving Decide who will be the first sender and who will be the first receiver. Review the rules. Put the two large envelopes described above in front of you. Neither of you should know what images are in the envelopes. The sender should discreetly pull out their first image and keep it hidden from the receiver. Quiet your mind. Both of you close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and get into a relaxed, psychic state.
The sender acts first. The sender stares at the image and studies it in detail. Actively sending thoughts about the picture to the receiver.
The receiver begins. With eyes closed, the receiver pick ups all the information they can, describing what they see, hear and feel. It doesn't matter what the receiver's best psychic skills are, you can pick any of the following techniques to get the image: --Clairvoyance: The image will appear in your mind's eye as you concentrate on the area on your forehead in between your eyes. --Clairaudience: Concentrate on your inner ears and you'll hear descriptions or sounds that will tell you what the images is. --Clairsentience: Just by thinking about the picture will bring up feelings and a deep knowing about what it is your friend is looking at.
The whole process should take three or four minutes. Switch roles and do it again. Stop after you both have had a chance to send and receive, then share your pictures and see how accurate you both were--then do it again. You can do this back and forth until you're ready to stop!
Your Scorecard You're not looking for an accuracy percentage with this game, first you want to get enough of an image in your mind so you know without a doubt that you are using your telepathic abilities. This may take a few tries. Guessing anything is a beginning, so don't worry about saying only things that are right. (Note to senders: don't laugh, what ever they say, it may sound crazy, but it's all in the interpretation!). If you are a beginner, be happy if you get one out of three pictures correct or half the details of a particular image.
The next thing you want to see is improvement; how quickly you can pick up an accurate image, how many details you can report back. If you get four out of five facts correct, you've got it down. The more you practice, the more confident you will be in your abilities.
My book, Get Psychic! is filled with tons of games just like this--check it out!
